It is now apparent that the 100 percent increase (or doblado) will not be implemented across all ranks. I am not yet sure how would this increase be implemented, but im guessing that as the rank goes higher, the lesser is the percentage increase. Sure, the PO1s will get the double pay, but as the rank goes up, the percentage increase goes down. Average of 58.7 percent increase means there would be ranks who may recieve a mere 20 percent increase more or less.
“Overall, the adjustments will result in a 58.7-percent average increase in base pay for all MUP ranks effective January 1, 2018,” it added.
