Marawi City —The Police Regional Office ARMM awarded the eight wounded policemen with the PNP “Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting” in recognition of their outstanding gallantry during the service of a warrant against murder suspects in Madamba, Lanao Del Sur on April 4, 2019.
Police Brigadier General Graciano Mijares, Regional Director PRO ARMM, personally visited and awarded them with medals at the Amai Pakpak Medical Center last Thursday where they were being treated for injuries sustained.
The wounded policemen PCapt Glen Lyca Gevero, PCapt Mark Harry A Boglosa, PSMSg Marlon P Panitan, PSSg Magno O Olete, PSSg Nino O Cadano, PCpl Ronald T Rosco, PClp Omar Masakal and Pat Arnel A Montallana, all assigned at PRO ARMM, showed extraordinary performance of their duties, dedication and competence in law enforcement.
Their sacrifice resulted in the neutralization of four (4) wanted persons and recovery of three high-powered firearms and several rounds of ammunition.
During his visit, Police Brigadier General Mijares personally provided cash assistance to them.
Meanwhile, PBGen Mijares ordered all police personnel of the region to be on heightened alert and to initiate appropriate security measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in their respective areas of jurisdiction and to guarantee the safety of the people in remote villages.
