PSMBFI LAUNCHES PANTAWID COVID PROGRAM, MEMBERS TO RECEIVE 5K

The Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Inc or PSMBFI launched its Pantawid Covid Program through “Tulong Handog sa mga Miyembro: Covid 19 Crisis” as a way of helping its members in this critical period.

FOR PNP MEMBERS

Under the program, PSMBFI members from the PNP shall receive P5,000 each as financial assistance to defray their expenses while on lockdown.

In a statement, DIR MARIO A AVENIDO, PSMBFI’s President and CEO said, “In this trying time when the whole world is struggling in fighting the pandemic of COVID-19, we, at the PUBLIC SAFETY MUTUAL BENEFIT FUND, INC. (PSMBFI) would like to express our gratitude to all frontliners for their selfless service and heroic deeds in combating the spread of the virus”.

“The uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP), being at the forefront in ensuring the safety of the people, are also exposed to the risk of contracting this disease. With their courage and bravery, self-preservation is set aside in order to perform their duties. We recognize this occupational risk and we would like to assure our members that PSMBFI is always ready to help and provide support,” the PSMBFI CEO added.

According to DIR. AVENIDO, the financial assistance is given as “(w)e don’t know it yet when this situation is going to improve or end and this monetary support will allow our members prepare for the coming days”.

OTHER MEMBERS ARE ALSO INCLUDED

In separate “ADVISORY”, DIR. AVENIDO, stated that “(t)his is a financial assistance of P5,000.00 each to be extended to all uniformed and non-uniformed members of the Association to augment their finances in these trying times.

To ensure the efficient and fast disbursement of the assistance, the distribution shall be through the PNP Finance Service.

The PSMBFI president ends his statement with this, “(t)o our members whom we have the privilege of serving, we continue to be one with you in this fight. Rest assured that we will stay true in our commitment of giving you, “isang buhay na protektado, at kinabukasan sigurado”.

The said program is part of a one billion pesos financial assistance to its members in this trying times with threats from COVID-19.

It should be noted that for PNP, ONLY PSMBFI members will receive this financial assistance, and NOT ALL PERSONNEL OF PNP.

According to PNP Finance Service, this will be released on April 15, 2020 to the qualified PNP Personnel.
